Annual Pumpkin Festival

New Midway announced for the VIEx

In January 2010 the VIEx announced that Shooting Star Amusements www.shootingstar.ca would be at the fair this year! Check out their website for more details. The Board of Directors, welcomes the Shooting Star family!

Decorating Contest - 2009

The VIEx, Job Creation Crew were proud to receive the Greater Nanaimo Chamber of Commerce, Spirit of Christmas award in December 2009. The VIEx was awarded best decorating for an office with less than 5 employees.

2009-2010 Board of Directors

At the Annual General Meeting, held on November 3, 2009, a new board of directors was elected for the 2009-2010 term.  Congratulations to the following:

Top Evaluation Fairs over 20,000+

On October 17, 2009 at the Annual  BC Fairs Convention the 2009 VIEx Fair was awarded from BC Fairs & The Minister of Agriculture. The Top Evaluation Score in the category of attendance over 20,000+. This is a very prestigious award from the BC Association of Agricultural Fairs & Exhibitions.  

Successful RCMP Musical Ride

Thank you to everyone who attended, volunteered, planned, etc. for the RCMP Musical Ride. This event was held for 2 sold out shows! It was presented at the VIEx grounds for the first time in ten years! Thank you to the RCMP and all their riders for making this possible!
